Getting started
- Create your account and verify your email address.
- Complete the security and company setup required for your role.
- Review company identity, GST registration and financial-year details.
- Create or import customers, vendors and catalogue items where supported; review imported data before committing it.
- Agree opening balances and migration cut-off dates with your accountant before posting live transactions.
Understand document states
Drafts are working records that can be reviewed and edited. Approval records a review step where the workflow requires it. Posting creates the accounting effect and final document numbering where applicable. Posted financial fields are protected; use the supported correction action to adjust them.
Quotations, pro forma invoices, sales orders, delivery challans and purchase orders have distinct commercial purposes. Their approval does not make them tax invoices or posted financial entries.
Receipts, payments and allocations
A receipt records money received; allocation connects it to a customer invoice. A vendor payment records a payable settlement in the books. Confirm the amount, date, account and allocation before posting. A posted payment record does not itself move money through a bank.
Check the remaining balance after allocation. An unallocated receipt is not evidence that a particular invoice has been paid.
Permissions and online operations
Your role controls which records and actions you can access. Ask a workspace administrator when an action is restricted. Final numbering, posting and locked-period checks remain online operations. Desktop offline work is limited to supported actions, with synchronization required when connectivity returns.
GST book reports support review. Direct filing, IRN generation and other provider-dependent services require confirmed availability and setup; a prepared report is not a filed return.
